THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – Part 7
Galatians 5:22-24 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
The seventh fruit of the Spirit is faith.
How do we get faith? Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Faith is a gift from God. We have the power to use it to glorify God or to exercise unbelief to reject God and His Word. The world as a whole is in rejection of God’s Word and operates in the kingdom of Satan and unbelief.
The kingdom of God is entered by faith. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” God is Spirit and cannot be seen. Faith believes that He is so that through the faith of believers God is seen.
When the world wants to know where man and the world came from, they come up with the thought of evolution. The believer accepts God’s Word on the subject: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
Hebrews 11:3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Faith is a fruit of the Spirit. This is what Paul says by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Do you believe God? If you do, you glorify God. Faith rests its case on the Word of God.
May the Lord bless these words to our hearts today!
