One small Welsh village had a local chapel where the people had grown cold. The pastor had prayed for years, but nothing seemed to change. One evening, a young coal miner named Evan slipped into the back pew and stayed after the service. When everyone left, he fell on his face and prayed for God to cleanse his heart. He confessed hidden sins that no one else knew about—resentment, pride, and a spirit of compromise. As he prayed, tears soaked the wooden floor. He stayed there for hours until he sensed that the Lord had forgiven and filled him anew. The next morning, something changed. His coworkers noticed it. His words carried conviction.
