OrEd-T-19.4-Unreality of Sin.2

33. If sin were real, it would forever be beyond the hope of healing. For there would be a power beyond God's power, capable of making another will which could attack and overcome His Will, giving His Son a will different from his Father's will, and stronger. Each part of God's fragmented creation would have a different will, in eternal opposition to God and to each other. Our holy relationship has as its purpose the goal of proving this is impossible. Heaven has smiled on our holy relationship. The belief in sin has been uprooted in Heaven's smile of love. Still seeing sin, I do not yet realize that its foundation has gone. The source of sin has been removed, and I can see it a little while before it vanishes. Only the habit of looking for sin still remains.

34. And yet, we look with Heaven's smile upon our lips and Heaven's blessing on our sight. We will not see it long, for in the new perception, when sin seems to be seen, the mind corrects it and it becomes invisible. And errors are quickly recognized and quickly given to correction to be healed, not hidden. We will be healed of sin and all its ravages the instant we do not give it power over each other. And we will help each other overcome mistakes by joyously releasing each other from the belief in sin.

35. In the holy instant, we will see the smile of Heaven shining on both of us. And we will shine upon each other in glad acknowledgment of the grace that has been given us. For sin will not prevail against a union Heaven has smiled upon. Our perception was healed in the holy instant Heaven gave us. We can forget what we have seen, and raise our eyes to what we now can see in faith. The barriers to heaven will disappear before our holy sight. We who were sightless have been given vision. We now can see the glory that has been restored for us, and do not look for what has been removed.

36. We would not let sin arise again to blind our eyes, but look upon our Redeemer and see what He would show us in each other. Our Redeemer would have us look upon each other as our self, as sin would keep us separate. Our relationship is now a temple of healing--a place where all the weary ones can come and rest. Rest that waits for all after the journey. And rest is brought nearer to all by our relationship.

37. As peace extends from deep inside ourselves to embrace all the Sonship, this peace will encounter many obstacles, some of them we will try to impose. Other obstacles will seem to arise from somewhere else--from our brothers and from aspects of the world outside. Yet, peace will gently cover the obstacles, extending past them completely unhindered. The Holy Spirit's purpose to gently bring others into our relationship has already begun. In this way He brings means and goal together. The peace He laid deep within us will quietly extend to every aspect of our lives, surrounding us with glowing happiness and calm awareness of complete protection. And we will carry the message of peace which is love, safety, freedom to everyone who comes near our temple, where healing waits for him.

38. We will not wait to give him this message, for we will call to him and he will answer us, recognizing in our call the Call of God. And we will draw him in and give him rest, as it was given us. All this we will do. Yet the peace which already lies deeply within must first expand and flow across the obstacles we placed before it. This we will do, for nothing undertaken with the Holy Spirit remains unfinished. We can be sure of nothing we see outside us, but we can be sure that the Holy Spirit asks we offer Him a resting-place where we will rest in Him. He answered us and entered our relationship. We now return His graciousness and enter into relationship with Him. For it is He Who offered our relationship the gift of holiness. Without holiness it would have been forever impossible to appreciate each other.

39. The gratitude we owe to Him, He asks that we receive for Him. And when we look with gentle graciousness upon each other, we are beholding Him. For we are looking where He is, and not apart from Him. We cannot see the Holy Spirit, but we can see our brothers truly. And the light in them will show us all that we need to see. When the peace in us has been extended to encompass everyone, the Holy Spirit's function here will be accomplished. What need is there for seeing then? When God has taken the last step Himself, the Holy Spirit will gather all our thanks and gratitude we have offered to Him and lay them gently before His Creator in the name of His most holy Son. And the Father will accept them in His name. What need is there of seeing in the presence of His gratitude?
