OrEd-T-19.5-Obstacles to Peace-d.2.2

d.2-The Lifting of the Veil.2

104. All the grace of Heaven I can offer to, and receive from, my most holy Friend. He would offer grace to me, for by receiving grace, I offer grace to him. He will receive of me what I received of him. Redemption has been given us to give, and to receive from each other. What we give we share, and the one we forgive is free. I forgive all the guilt I think I see in my brother, and all the sins my brother thinks he has committed.

105. We come again to the holy place of resurrection. We will return here until redemption is accomplished and received. Before I would condemn my brother, I will think who he is, and give thanks to God that he is holy and has the gift of holiness for me. I join my brother in gladness, and remove all trace of guilt from his disturbed and tortured mind. I help him lift the heavy burden of sin I laid on him, and that he accepted as his own. With happy laughter we toss the burden if sin lightly away from him, saving him from crucifixion.

106. We give each other faith, for faith, hope, and mercy are ours to give. Into the hands that give, the gift is given. I look on my brother, and see the gift of God that I would receive. It is almost Easter, the time of resurrection. We give redemption to each other and share in it, that we may rise in resurrection as one. We behold the gift of freedom that Jesus gave the Holy Spirit for both of us. And we are free together, as we offer this same gift to the Holy Spirit. And giving it we receive it of Him in return for what we gave. He leads Jesus and us together that we might meet in this holy place and make the same decision.

107. I will free my brother here, as Jesus freed me. I will not look upon my brother with condemnation of any kind. As Jesus sees me guiltless, I will see my brother guiltless. And I will overlook the sins my brother thinks he sees within himself. We offer each other freedom and complete release from sin, here in the garden of seeming agony and death. So together we will prepare the way for the resurrection of God's Son, and let him rise again to glad remembrance of his Father, Who knows no sin, no death, but only eternal life

108. We will disappear into the Presence beyond the veil together, not lost, but found, not seen, but known. And knowing, God's plan for salvation will be done. This is the purpose of the journey, giving it meaning. This is the reason for the journey from its beginning. Here is the rest and quiet, and the eternal peace of God given to us. We owe each other a debt of gratitude, the gift of Heaven, offered to the Son of God in thanks for what he is, and what his Father created him to be.

109. I will think carefully how I judge the giver of this gift, for the gift itself will appear to be as I judge him. He is judged as the giver of either guilt or salvation. His offering is judged and received accordingly. The crucified give pain because they are in pain. The redeemed give joy because they have been healed. Everyone gives as he receives, but he chooses what it will be that he receives. He will recognize his choice by what he gives, and what is given to him. Nothing in Heaven nor hell can interfere with his choice and his decision.

110. I have come this far on the journey because it was my choice. And, no one undertakes to do what he believes is meaningless. What I had faith in is still faithful, and watches over me in faith so gentle and so strong that it would lift me far beyond the veil, and place the Son of God safely within the sure protection of his Father. This is the only purpose that gives this world, and the long journey through this world, any meaning at all. Except for this, they are meaningless. We stand together, not convinced the world and journey have a purpose. However, it is given to me to see this purpose in my holy Friend, and recognize it as my own.
