OrEd-T-20.5-Entering the Ark

28. Nothing can hurt me unless I give it the power to do so. For I give power as the laws of this world interpret giving--giving is losing. However, it is not up to me to give power at all. Power is of God, given by Him, and the power is reawakened by the Holy Spirit, Who knows that giving is gaining. Sin has no power, because the Holy Spirit gives it no power. The results of sin as this world judges---sickness, death, misery and pain, likewise have no power. The Holy Spirit does not see them, and gives no power to their seeming source, so these things have not occurred. He, being without illusion of what I am, would keep me free from them. The Holy Spirit gives everything to God, Who has already given and received all that is true. God has neither given nor received the untrue.

29. Sin has no place in Heaven, where sin's source and results are alien, and cannot enter. My need is to see my brother sinless. Heaven is in him. See sin in him instead, and Heaven is lost to me. See him as he is, and what is mine shines from him to me. My savior gives me only love, but what I receive of him is up to me. It lies in him to overlook all my mistakes, and therein lies his own salvation. And it is the same with mine. As the Holy Spirit interprets it, salvation is a lesson in giving. Salvation is the reawakening of the laws of God in our minds. Our minds have established alien laws and given power to enforce them.

30. My insane laws guarantee that I will make mistakes, give them power over me, and accept their results as my just due. This could only be madness. I will not see this within my brother. He is as free from this insanity as I am. The freedom that I see in him is my own, for we share this freedom. What God has given follows only His laws. It is not possible for those who follow God's laws to suffer results from any other source.

31. Those who choose freedom will experience freedom's results. Their power is of God, and they will give that power only to what God has shared and given to them. Only this can touch them, and only this they see, sharing their power according to the Will of God. And thus their freedom is established and maintained. It is upheld through all temptation to imprison and be imprisoned. I should ask what freedom is of those who have learned of freedom. I will not ask the sparrow how the eagle soars, for those with little wings have not accepted the power to share with me, for themselves.

32. The sinless give as they have received. I will see the power of sinlessness within my brother, and will share with him the release from sin offered to him. A savior is given to each one who walks this earth in seeming solitude. His special function here is to release this one, and so free himself. Each savior is appointed separately in the world of separation, though they all are the same. And each one finds his savior when he is ready to look upon the face of Christ and see Him sinless. Yet those who know that they are all the same do not need salvation.

33. The plan is not of me. I need not be concerned with anything except the part that has been given me to learn. For He Who knows all of the plan will see to it without my help. But I know that He needs my part to help Him with the rest. For all of it lies in my part, without which no part is complete, and my part completes the whole. The ark of peace is entered two by two, as the beginning of another world goes with them. Now that each holy relationship shares His purpose, that holy relationship must enter here to learn its special function in the Holy Spirit's plan. And as this purpose is fulfilled, a new world rises where the Son of God can enter without fear, for sin is gone. Here the Son of God rests a while, to forget imprisonment and to remember freedom. He remembers his completion here, and I am his completion. We enter together to rest, to remember, and find completion. He cannot enter without me. Unless I am there, he is not complete. And it is his completion that he remembers here.

34. This is the purpose given me. Our forgiveness of each other serves the whole, not us alone. For the new world lies in the hands of every two who enter here to rest. And as they rest, the face of Christ shines upon them, and forgetting all else, they remember the laws of God. They yearn to have His laws fulfilled perfectly in them and all their brothers. I will rest with them when this has been achieved. I could no more leave one of them outside than Jesus could leave us, and forget part of himself.

35. While in time, I may wonder how I can be at peace, when there is so much that must be done before the way to peace is open. This seems impossible to me. However, it is not possible that God would have a plan for my salvation that does not work. Once I accept His plan as the one function that I would fulfill, the Holy Spirit will arrange everything else for me without my effort.

36. He goes before me, making my path straight, leaving no stones to trip on, and no obstacles to bar the way. Nothing I need will be denied. Each seeming difficulty will melt away before I reach it. I do not need to think about anything, and caring for nothing, except the purpose that I would fulfill. God's guarantee holds against all obstacles, for it rests on certainty with no contingencies. The purpose is given me, and also its fulfillment will be given. It rests on me, and nothing is more certain than a Son of God.
