OrEd-T-21.4-Faith, Belief, and Vision.2

35. Faith/belief now become attached to vision. All the means that once served sin are redirected toward holiness. Sin is redefined as limitation. Because of fear, I hate those I try to limit to the body, and refuse to forgive my brother. I would condemn him to the body, because the means for sin are dear to me. Yet, holiness would set my brother free, removing hatred by removing fear at its source, not as a symptom.

36. Those can have no fear who would free their brothers from the body. They have renounced the means for sin, by choosing to let all limitations be removed. Desiring to see their brothers as holy, the power of faith/belief supports vision, and goes beyond the body. First, they recognized how much their faith/belief in sin had limited their understanding of the world. Now, when another point of view is presented, they choose to place faith's/belief's power in holiness. For all who choose to look away from sin are given vision, and led to holiness. Also born of faith/belief, are the miracles which follow this decision.

37. Those who believe in sin, must think the Holy Spirit asks for sacrifice, for sacrifice is how they think their purpose is accomplished. Brothers, the Holy Spirit makes no bargains, and He knows that sacrifice brings nothing. If I seek to limit Him, I will hate Him because I am afraid. The gift that He has given me is more than anything this side of Heaven. The instant for the recognition of His gift is at hand. I will join my awareness to what is already joined, and this can be accomplished by the faith we give to each other. For The Holy Spirit loves the world and He is seeing it for me, sinless, and with the innocence that makes this world beautiful as Heaven.

38. Sacrifice must be asked of a body, by another body. The mind could neither ask for, nor receive sacrifice of itself. And neither could a body. The purpose for sin is in the mind, which tries to use the body to carry out the means for sin, in which the mind believes. For those who value sin, the joining of the mind and the body is an inescapable belief. My faith in sacrifice has given it great power in my sight. I do not realize that I cannot see, because of my faith in sacrifice. And so, sacrifice is always a means for limitation and hate.

39. Do I think the Holy Spirit is concerned with this? The Holy Spirit does not give me what it is His purpose to lead me away from. I think He would deprive me for my good. But "good" and "deprivation" are opposites and cannot meaningfully join in any way. Are the moon and sun joined because they come with night and day? The sight of one is the sign the other has disappeared. One gives light and the other depends on darkness to be seen. Neither demands the sacrifice of the other. Yet, to be seen, the absence of the other is required.

40. The body was made as a sacrifice to sin, and so it is seen in darkness. I transferred perception, belief/faith, from mind to body. The faith/belief I gave the body, belongs beyond the body. In the light of vision, the body is seen quite differently. I can have faith in the body to serve the Holy Spirit's goal, as means to help the blind to see, looking past the body. Now I let perception, belief/faith be given back to the mind that produced them. The mind can still use them to save itself from what it made.
