OrEd-T-22.5- The Branching of the Road

38. It is quite apparent that I can't go forward when I come to a branch in the road. I must go either one way or the other. For now if I go straight ahead I will go nowhere. The whole purpose of coming this far was to decide which branch I will take now. It doesn't matter the way I came. That way no longer serves. No one who reaches this far can make the wrong decision, but he can delay by not deciding on which way to go. No part of the journey seems more hopeless and futile than being where the road branches.

39. On the right way that I have chosen it is only the first few steps that seem hard. For, although I may think I can go back and make the other choice, this isn't so. A choice made with the power of Heaven to uphold it cannot be undone. Our way is decided. There will be nothing I will not be told if I acknowledge this.

40. We stand in this holy place before the veil of sin that hangs between us and the face of Christ. The journey is almost over. Alone, we see the veil as a solid block, not realizing how thin the veil is that separates us. We think what will happen after the veil is lifted! We raise it together, and let the veil be lifted. In our awareness, peace has come to us. The love of Christ lights our faces and shines from us into a darkened world that needs the light. And from this holy place, Christ will return with us, not leaving this place nor us. We return Him unto Himself; we become His messengers.

41. We, who walk with Him, think of the loveliness that we see, and think how beautiful each of us looks to the other! How happy we will be to be together after such a long and lonely journey where once we walked alone. The gates of Heaven are open now for us. And now, we open the gates of Heaven to the sorrowful. All who look on the Christ in us will rejoice! How beautiful the sight we saw beyond the veil, which will bring light to the eyes of those now as weary as we once were. How thankful they will be to see us come among them, offering Christ's forgiveness to dispel their faith in sin.

42. Every mistake I make, the other will have gently corrected for me, for in his sight my loveliness is his salvation, which he would protect from harm. And each will be the other's strong protector from everything that seems to rise between us. So shall we walk the world with Jesus, whose message has not yet been given to everyone. For we are here to let it be received. God's offer is still open, yet it waits acceptance. It is received from us who have accepted. Into our joined hands God's offer is safely given, for we who share it have become its willing guardians and protectors.

43. Grace is given to all who share the love of God, to be the givers of what they have received, and learn God's love is theirs forever. All barriers disappear before their coming, and every obstacle which seemed to block their way before, is finally surmounted. We lift this veil together, and open the way to truth for many. Those who let illusions be lifted from their minds are the world's saviors. These saviors walk the world with their Redeemer, carrying His message of hope, freedom, and release from suffering to everyone who needs a miracle to save him.

44. How easy it is to offer this miracle to everyone! No one who has received the miracle for himself can find it difficult. For by receiving it, he learned the miracle was not given to him alone. This is the function of the holy relationship--to receive together and give as we received. Standing before the veil, it seems difficult. But our joined hands reach out and touch this heavy-seeming block, and learn how easily our fingers slip through its nothingness. It is no solid wall, only an illusion that stands between us and the holy Self we are.
