The Charlotte Mason Method
Today’s guest, Sonya Shafer of SimplyCharlotteMason.com, tells us to teach the child, not the curriculum. This is the basis of the Charlotte Mason method. It is based on Charlotte‘s firm belief that the child is a person and we must educate that whole person, not just his or her mind. A Charlotte Mason education is three-pronged: in Charlotte’s words, “Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life.” Sonya is going to talk to us more today about the Charlotte Mason method and her ministry SimplyCharlotteMason.com.
