Dr. Timothy Sims is pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Shelby, North Carolina. Bethel Baptist Church is a conservative Baptist church that cares for people at every stage of physical and spiritual development. They believe the Bible has the answer to all of life's questions and that it is the final authority for all faith and practice. All of their preaching, teaching, and educational instruction is from the King James Version of the Bible. The Word of God is paramount at Bethel. For over seven decades Bethel has been "Holding Forth the Word of Life" to the greater Cleveland County community. Their hearts desire is that Cleveland County might know Christ. They believe the Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation. Through the preaching of the Cross, the Word of God quickens and the Holy Spirit draws men, women, boys and girls to the Savior. Salvation is a work of God alone. He is the author and the finisher of our faith. Faith only comes by hearing the Word of God and thus we place our highest priority on the inerrant Word of God so that men might believe by faith and be saved by grace.
