Tell us about your family.
Well, it all begins with my wife, Reeny. She is truly God’s blessing in my life! Together, we’ve been blessed with four wonderful children. Our oldest is Lauren, who was recently married to Graham Foster; they live in Wheaton, IL. Our second child is Morgan, who was recently married to Scottie Brown, and they live in Vero and recently had our first grandson, Easton! Third child is Marc who is finishing up his Biblical Studies degree online through Liberty University, while also leading our Young Adults Ministry here at First Church. Our youngest daughter is Andrea, who is in her senior year of high school at our own Masters Academy. Andi plans to attend Southeastern University upon graduation.

What is something most people don’t know about you?
I love studying Florida history. More recently I read a book about how the Intracoastal Waterway was developed after the Reconstruction Era of the late 1800’s. I now have a goal of taking a boat from Jacksonville to Miami and across Florida Bay and up the west coast and then back across the state through Lake Okeechobee. It’s on the bucket list!

Besides the Bible, name a book that has impacted you.
Hearing God, Peter Lord; Spiritual Leadership, Henry Blackaby; The Pursuit of God, A.W. Tozer.

What job, other than your own, would you like to attempt?
If God had not called me into pastoral ministry, I think I might have ended up coaching. But I also have a fantasy of operating a bulldozer and shaping golf courses for one of the great golf designers. Something about working with dirt…

Name one thing on your bucket list.
Spending a couple months in Israel to gain greater understanding of the culture and to visit the geographical sites of the Bible.
