WOMO launched in 2007 by founders Fiona Adler and Brad Bond. But the idea was born in 1999 when Fiona was undertaking some home renovations and found herself reluctant to choose service providers without a recommendation. She started thinking, "wouldn't it be great if recommendations were on the web?"
