John Gonzalez and Amy Sherman are co-hosts of "Behind the Mitten," a radio show and podcast about Michigan beer, food, festivals and the people who make it happen!
On this weekend's show (July 25, 2015), they interviewed Sawyer Stevens, head brewer of the Lansing Brewing Company, which will open this fall.
In a recent blog on behindthemitten.com, Amy Sherman wrote:
The Lansing Brewing Company) is great addition to downtown Lansing, and is located right around the corner from the Cooley Law School Stadium, home of the Lansing Lugnuts.
"It will feature a from scratch kitchen, about 8 beers on tap, and a huge outdoor patio complete with fire pits. The head brewer is working hard on making sure they will have plenty of beer when they open. A former brewer at Bells and Upper Hand Brewery, Stevens is excited about one of their signature brews, the Amber Cream Ale. This is one of the original beers that LBC made when they were first around in the late 1800s, and a style that you really won’t find anywhere else. A fall opening is planned."
