Mrs. Green speaks with Phillip Vanninni, PhD, who from 2011 to 2013, along with his partner, photojournalist Jonathan Taggart, travelled across Canada to find off-gridders and visit them in their homes. Following the ethnographic tradition, they sometimes lived with them for a short period of time, and accompanied them as they hunted, fished, harvested, collected wood, and built their homes.
