However, there seems to be more hope being placed on people, things, careers, relationships, even aspirations with the intention of getting what they believe to be good for them. And then, those who fall into that trap are disappointed, disconcerted, and disingenuous to the point of not being able to discern what God desires for them. The K.I.S.S. ~ It is good to wait quietly! Now, most of my family would tell you that I'm not so much of the quiet one. I take the bull by the horns and run with it. And usually, that means a few people hear about it along the way. Yet what many people, including some in my family, don't observe is me waiting quietly, truly spending time discerning what God desires for me in the season I'm in. To most who see my actions, they might think I'm a chicken running around with my head cut off. Now, my mom can tell stories of that. But not so much me. I tend to lean toward being strategic in my own special way, the way God created me in my purpose. There will be times when you need to just stop long enough and be still, to listen more than you speak, and to sit more than you move. During these last few hours of this Thanksgiving season, pause for God's cause. Turn up the volume of what God is saying to you, and turn down the busyness of striving to be everything to everyone. You won't be able to manage your life in a heavenly manner if you are entangled with worldly things.
