Persistence is a firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. We are in the middle of the holidays, and a lot happens during this time. However, that doesn't mean that you can't accomplish something prior to the new year. Consider it a jumpstart to your renewed dreams. But in order to keep the ball rolling, you've got to stay in the driver's seat.
- You can't give up just because your child is sick.
- You can't give up just because you are too tired.
- You can't give up because your excuse list is longer.
- You can't give up because you don't have the finances.
- You can't give up because you're not good enough.

Persistence is a firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. Did you have the chance to watch the Tampa Buccaneers play the New Orleans Saints? It was 16 to 3 in the fourth quarter with the Saints on top. Now, most would say the game was over. But Brady threw a pass that led them to a 1st and Goal due to defensive pass interference. The Buccaneers get a touchdown to bring them within 6. Luck for them; it was 3 and out for the Saints, which gave the Buccaneers one more chance. With about 16 seconds on the game clock, Brady threw it into the endzone for a touchdown. But there was an offensive penalty, holding. Once again, the dreams of keeping them in the playoffs were disappearing. It took 3 more downs for Tom Brady to throw the touchdown to tie the game. The Buccaneers' kicker kicked the PAT for the win. You might be one who could care less about football. But look at it as a teachable moment. If the Buccaneers, including Tom Brady, gave up because of the penalties and being down by 13 points, their dreams of possible playoffs would have been history. But that's not how the team played. And neither should you. You matter!! Your dreams matter! So it's time to prepare your mind, body, and spirit for an adventure. There is no time like the present to create your now.
