TOPIC...We will talk with Veronique about the so-called head tax that Seattle just passed and intends to impose on employers. The City claims it will help fight homelessness. But what it will likely do is increase unemployment and fuel homelessness. Under the tax, retail giants like Starbucks and Amazon will pay an annual head tax of several hundred dollars for every full-time employee working in Seattle. The City Council estimates the tax will raise approximately $47 million annually.
Kate Zickel is 30 year old breast cancer survivor. She was born prematurely and had to fight for life from the start and she continues that battle now.
