Almeta Monroe, a native Floridian, graduated from The University of Central Florida with a BA Degree in Criminal Justice. She worked for the City of Orlando for several years before beginning her career with State Farm Insurance Companies in October 1987. After 14 years of experience in various positions within State Farm, Almeta launched her agency career. On January 1, 2001, she became a State Farm Insurance Agent and opened her office in St. Augustine, FL. In September 2003, she moved the agency to its current Fleming Island location. In addition to her insurance business, she is a busy entrepreneur focusing on mobile technology and App Development. Almeta is the creator of mobiTellz, LLC, an innovative website that creates customized mobile websites for details and information sharing. In January 2013 she established the Almeta Monroe-Turner First Generation Scholarship at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL and currently sits on the University of North Florida’s Foundation Board. Almeta is married to Jeffrey Turner. She enjoys family, friends and traveling.
