Score one for the owners. It was reported Wednesday that running back Melvin Gordon will return to the Chargers this week. For the record, it appears neither he nor the team buckled on negotiating a new deal of any kind. And while that may make for acrimony between the two sides and makes it likelier Gordon will be off the team next season, it’s a win for how business is done.
