My sister has just proposed an obnoxious idea for the 4 th of July weekend. She's inviting family and friends to their rustic little cabin in Cle Elum for, as she calls it, and "old fashioned barn raising." They want a barn built and we are supposed to come there with our work clothes on and build it for them. All 4 days. She and her husband definitely have the money to hire contractors, but she thinks this will be fun. She provides the materials and a field where we can pitch a tent. She's even asking that we bring a dish for a pot luck at the end. Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy selfish?
