Hamden hosted the West Haven Blue Devils to open up 2018 and the Green Dragons showed that this year is the Year of the TEAM! With an impressive display of passing and court vision, Hamden gelled as a team to defeat the sharpshooting Blue Devils. West Haven kept the game close the entire time but Hamden never let the boys in Blue fully make the comeback. Hamden got out to an early lead and it fluctuated as the game progressed but never returned to a tie game or a West Haven lead. The Green Dragons dominated the play in the paint and had half the amount of turnovers that West Haven committed (18) finishing with 9 on the game. On top of that, Ryan Ellis, the Hummel Hotdog Player of the Game, was unstoppable from mid-range.
