Someone destroyed the synagogue's menorah that was built out of sand on the beach near the Juno Beach Pier for the first night of Hanukkah. It was also desecrated with a swastika. Rabbi Ezagui says this will only make the Jewish community stronger as the menorah is being rebuilt and a lighting ceremony is being held for the 7th night of Hanukkah.
