On this week's Around the Triangle, we'll talk about the Carolina Hurricanes. David Ayres was the toast of Raleigh last week, after the emergency back-up goalie blocked eight shots to help the 'Canes beat Toronto 6-3, on the road. For the 42-year-old Ayres, it was a moment he'd waited for his whole life. But it's not the first time the Hurricanes have had to rely on an unexpected teammate. Back in 2016, equipment manager Jorge Alves was asked to suit up for his emergency NHL debut. We'll talk with Jorge today about that experience.
