Im sure you have heard people say "God doesn't call the qualified he qualifies the called". Today Miguel Lebron gives three reasons why he does not agree with that statment.
Calling
Jeremiah 1:4-5 (HCSB)
"The word of the Lord came to me: I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
Preparation
Jeremiah 1:7-8 (HCSB)
"Then the Lord said to me: Do not say, “I am only a youth,” for you will go to everyone I send you to and speak whatever I tell you. Do not be afraid of anyone, for I will be with you to deliver you. This is the Lord’s declaration."
Dedication
Jeremiah 15:15-16 (HCSB)
"You know, Lord; remember me and take note of me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your patience, don’t take me away. Know that I suffer disgrace for Your honor. Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words became a delight to me and the joy of my heart, for I am called by Your name, Yahweh God of Hosts."
God created everyone qualified for the calling, he simply prepares you for the calling.
