Legendary Actor Sidney Poitier, the first Black Man To an Academy Award for Best Actor In A Leading Role as passed away at age 94. One of the last actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Poitier made his acting debut in New York theater before breaking into Hollywood in the Late 1940's. A career spanning seven decades, his famous movie roles include A Raisin In The Sun, "The Defiant Ones", "Guess Whose Coming To Dinner", "Lillies Of The Fields" ( For which he one the Academy Award), and the iconic Mr. Tibbs in the film "In The Heat Of The Night". Rest In Power Sidney Poitier.
