Description

You may have heard Connlaoth McKay insisting that we get his favourite player on. So folks, here is our captain Deaglan Foley.

I'm not sure what you make of the adding of a soundtrack... I thought it was a good idea... but in practice... i better get to editing school.

Decky has been with the club all his days and has come through with a fine group of players who are still alongside him to this day. Decky tells us how he and his sister Ciara have hurling and camogie in the blood.

We learn of the honour it is to captain our club, the players that have had that honour before him and how he looked up to those guys. We learn about being one of the players he hopes the younger guys in the club might hope to emulate. We learn of the huge changes in and around the club that he has seen over the years and all for good.

Decky tells us about the enjoyment derived from hurling with the county and how that helped to improve him as a player.

Next Saturday Decky and the boys will be at the Beautiful Pairc Na Magha to meet with our younger hurlers and camogs. It's all about building a culture within the club to show there is that pathway from underage through to senior level. So if you can make it along, please do so to meet the guys and wish them well ahead of the Final on Sunday. Wear your club colours!

Decky tells us about the value of your support and what that means to him and the team. He asks you to get along to Ballybofey next Sunday. There's a great atmosphere around the club at ths moment ao let's make this a team effort and be there to cheer the lads on to victory.

There won't be a cow milked in Ballyarnett next Sunday!
