This week’s show will focus on how to avoid miscommunication at home, work or play. And I’m very excited to chat on that topic with Rebecca Klein Scott and Keith Scott, owners of TALLsmall Productions. This husband-wife duo lead communications workshops and speaking engagements for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to family owned businesses and everything in between along with business and public speaking coaching.
TALLsmall Productions is a nod to their heights - Rebecca is 5 foot 2 inches and Keith is 6 foot 9 inches – and as they like to say, “small tweaks make TALL differences” in our lives.
TALLsmall has interactive courses cover such topics as networking to get noticed, communicating across generational divides, sales training, body language, conflict resolution and media training. What attracted me to Rebecca and Keith was their post on LinkedIn entitled, “Parents Said, Kids Said: One Family Sets Ground Rules for Communication”. A very good read.
Rebecca and Keith know first hand, in each of those settings, that the blame game solves nothing. Neither do long-winded conversations. We needed to be clear and establish simple rules. But if it was that easy to do, we’d all be doing it. So get ready to hear their five tips, which are a mix of what they teach in boardrooms and learned the hard way in their dining room, including by asking their 4 kids for their two cents.
In this episode, you’ll hear…
•Self-Talk: Small Tweaks to make a Tall Difference
•Communicating with Civility & Professionalism: Make it Contagious
•Tools that work: “avoid clutter”, “allow fences”, “look in the mirror”, and more.
