Following a 30-year career as a Hollywood actor, Larry Laverty shifted careers becoming a professional photographer. This change of priorities was the culmination of a lifelong concern for the environment and wildlife conservation. His dedication to elephants grew out of a rapidly growing understanding of their gentle nature and of mankind’s unforgivable crimes against them. His Book, “Power and Majesty” is the crest and combination of his longtime passions for photography and writing. Larry holds a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Political Science. He supports the work of conservation organizations in Africa through their use of his photographs and ongoing financial contributions.
