I have an intense, and often polarizing personality. I was told that this was bad, so what I learned to do was subdue who I was. I was afraid to show my flaws, my mistakes, and vulnerabilities. I wanted to be like the guys on social media that are “killing it” and look like everything is fine and dandy.
I started to realize that everyone is jacked up. Everyone goes through hard times. And, bluntly put, entrepreneurship isn’t pretty. Yet, everyone wants to make entrepreneurship look sexy.
Once I started to let loose and show who I was, my results started to expand drastically. I wasn’t worried about others thought of me, so I was able to be authentic. If you’re scared of what people will think, you’re not authentic. It’s as simple as that. Show your journey. Be transparent. And show your flaws!
