This episode is super compelling to me because it focuses on just the sort of boring shit that will probably be the exact thing that ends the world because none of us wanna pay attention to such an unsexy risk.
We get to see what happens when a major player doesn't cooperate, and what happens is that one of the team winds up taking their place when that person is unceremoniously killed by the director. It's a really frustrating thing to watch, to really understand how interchangeable all the people are in the grand equation, as long as events are carried out the way they were planned.
So what happens now, after the mission is basically carried out by some other unknown party? Who did it, and how? And why?
