This week Pastor Vlad shares a message titled "Jesus is the Intercessor". In this message he expounds on the power of prayer and how to break the cycles of prayerlessness.
Sermon Notes:
1. PRAYER PATTERN
When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” Luke 3:21-22
a. Prayer must be birthed out of obedience.
b. Prayer opens the heaven.
c. Prayer brings the Holy Spirit.
d. Prayer is when God speaks.
Hearing God’s voice is more important than to getting what you need.
If you follow this, you might still have same problem but you will not be the same person.
2. PERIL OF PRAYERLESSNESS
Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Romans 8:34
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
Jesus praying in heaven for you does very little for you if you don’t pray!
And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Luke 22:31-32
When we don’t pray..
a. We will stray
b. We live out of emotion instead of devotion.
c. We warm ourselves at wrong fire.
3. POWER OF PRAYER
If you don’t spend time with Jesus and you are a believer, you have NO IDEA who Jesus is and who you are!
When you cannot find answers. Find God.
Who you are in more important than what you are going through!
a. His presence drowns your fears.
b. His presence puts the enemy on his knees.
c. His presence reverses the plot of the enemy.
Prayer Points
Father God I confess and repent of my lack of desire for prayer.
Holy Spirit, fill me with the spirit of supplication and grace.
In the name of Jesus I shut every demonic door that has been opened to hinder my prayer life.
