Description

Fact: the world will end one day.

This is something that will bring fear or joy. Those who don't know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will have fear. Those who follow Jesus Christ know that it is a glorious day to come.

Pastor Vlad speaks on a topic that many may be intimidated to talk about - the end times. What does that mean for a believer and an unbeliever? Listen as he shares biblical scriptures and an encouraging word that will give you hope in something that may seem scary.

Notes:

1. The world will end at the Day of the Lord!

2 Peter 3:10-13

“The day of the Lord” - It’s His day, not the devil’s.
* God will repay with relief for present sufferings.
* Righteous will receive reward.
* God will destroy the wicked.
* Day of the Lord is also called the Day of Judgment.
* Coming of the Lord is called the day of the Lord.

“Comes as a thief in the night” - End of the world is a mystery
* Matthew 24:36

2. There are many signs of the end of age but only one sign of Jesus’ second coming.

Matthew 24:3, 30

What is the signs of the end of age? There are many signs,
* false prophets
* wars
* hunger, earthquakes, pandemics
* persecution of Christians
* surge of wickedness
* lukewarmness of Christians
* world evangelism
* Israel being in the land

3. Pray for pre-tribulation, prepare for post-tribulation.

** What all we agree on:
1. There is tribulation.
2. There is second coming of Jesus.
3. There is rapture of believers.

** What we all disagree on is when it will happen!

The Bible talks only about one second coming of Jesus Christ.
- The rapture of believers and Jesus’ coming is the same event.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
2 Thessalonians 2:1

Jesus’ second coming is happening after tribulation, not before.

Matthew 24:29-30

The first resurrection happens right before the thousand year reign of Christ, not before the tribulation.

Revelation 20:4-6

Tribulation is the normal experience of believers in this age.

Revelation 13:7-10

Not experiencing affliction is a blessed exception that we should enjoy when we have it, but we should not count on it as if it were our right in Christ. We should always be ready to suffer for Christ and always be ready for Christ’s return.

John 16:33

2 Timothy 3:12
