Notes:
Genesis 33:13,14

1. We Are Either Led or We Are Driven.

You can either will be led or be driven.
You are either a disciple or a driver.

A.) The difference between driving and leading:

Driving implies a controlling force pushing a passive object.
Job 18:18
Numbers 32:21
Isaiah 8:22

Leading implies a participation on the part of the disciple.
Exodus 13:21
Psalm 25:5
Revelation 7:17

If you are not led by the Holy Spirit, you will be driven by the flesh!

B.) The dangers of driving:

1. Driving is done by men, leading is done by the Holy Spirit.
2. Driving is done by force, leading requires you to follow.
3. Driving is hard, leading is easier.
4. Driving is trying to do everything fast, leading is about the pace of grace.
5. Driving leads to death, leading leads to life.

2. The Grace of God Should Determine the Pace of Life.

A.) Grace leads you to stride, not strive (stress).

Psalm 37:23-24

B.) Grace doesn’t go faster than the pace of peace.

Colossians 3:15

When you lose the peace, you have lost the grace! Stress is the ticket your body gives you for speeding.
