A. Tithing 10% to fund the ministry of the Levite priests.

WHERE TITHING MISSES THE POINT:
1. Tithing was a response to deliverance. We have Jesus’ death to live in response.
2. Tithing was focused on maintaining the ministry. We have a mission to reach the world.
Luke 8:3, 1 Corinthians 9:11, 1 Timothy 5:18, Philippians 4:15
All of our giving is going to the mission!
3. Tithing misses the mark of discipleship.
Luke 3:11, Luke 19:8, Matthew 19:21, Luke 14:33, Acts 2:44-45, Matthew 6:19-21
Generosity is not about donation but about discipleship.
4. Tithing focuses on the percentage more than the Presence.
10% should be the floor not the ceiling; a place to begin not a place to end for a Christian.
