In this episode William lays out the history of SCOTUS case US Term Limits Inc., v Thornton ruling that states cannot impose qualifications for prospective members of the U.S. Congress stricter than those specified in the Constitution.
It went down in Arkansas because they wanted to limit candidates for the House of Representatives to a term limit which was in contrast to the language of the Constitution. It was struck down.
