When Love Hurts
Scripture: Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
If we’re honest, love can bring some of the deepest joy in life — and also some of the deepest pain. The people we love the most often have the greatest power to hurt us. Maybe for you, it was betrayal. Maybe it was rejection. Maybe you gave your best, and someone didn’t value it. Or maybe the person you loved is simply gone, and your heart still aches from the loss.
