Description

Daniel, Johnny and Will talk about the beginning of conference play in college baseball, and discuss their favorite qualities in a broadcast team before discussing all things World Baseball Classic. We tackle the relative prestige of the event between countries, the pre-2023 MLB rules of play, how the event could help grow the game in nascent baseball markets, and if there's any name one name we can recite offhand on the Czech Republic team ("the firefighter that struck out Ohtani" doesn't count!), as well as any additional insights on the quadrennial event. Plus Daniel and Will make a HIGH STAKES bet on a game that has personal importance to each of them. It's the third episode of the Grind Collective, come take a listen!

The Grind Collective is an ongoing discussion about the game of baseball from three people that are in the thick of it. Join amateur scouting writer Will Hoefer (Prospects Live), analytics staffer Daniel Garcia (Prospects Live, Virginia Baseball Analytics) and right-handed pitcher Johnny Davis (Prospects Live, Assumption Baseball) as they discuss their on-going interactions with the game of baseball during “the grind.” Additionally, each episode will have a main topic related to the game of baseball.
