Big Lou welcomes to The Sports Lounge Kevin Battle, Director of Rugby Operations + Team Manager of the MLR (Major League Rugby) National Champions!
KEVIN BATTLE, DIRECTOR OF RUGBY OPERATIONS, TEAM MANAGER
Kevin Battle brings on board two decades of vast experience across just about every level of American rugby.
In his first season, he guided the Giltinis to a Major League Rugby title as a high-caliber rugby operations expert and team manager, wherein 2022 will focus his energy and passion towards the next generation of LA Rugby players as Director of Youth, Development, and Community Rugby.
Battle was team manager for the USA Eagles at the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups and is a strong investment in Californian rugby intellect.
He has been running the Santa Barbara Rugby Academy since 2009 and joining the progressive MLR ranks follows his assistant coach role with the Sacramento Express in the single-season of PRO Rugby in 2016.
A former fullback-winger with Santa Barbara, his myriad coaching, managerial and administrative posts have included, since 2012, the role of Commissioner at USA Rugby, College D1-A.
