Description

This week on They Became Super Heroes Podcast, I’m joined by former gymnast and D1 Cheerleader, Tina Hurley. In 2016, Tina underwent a below-knee amputation after being diagnosed with a rare blood vessel condition, Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome. Her story is one of adaptation, pursuit, and inner happiness. In this episode we’ll learn about her rare condition, what you should know about limb loss, adaptive athlete foundations, and how she was able to overcome all feats and rise about expectations while living life under her own terms. If there is one thing to take away from this one, it’s to never give up no matter what life throws at you! Be sure to check out the links below for more on adaptive athlete foundations and how you can help support!
