We have on the show today Special Guests and The Founders of Teens4TeensHelp, Kara, Kathy & Jeff Long.

Kara is a student at the University of California, Davis, a mental health
advocate with a passion for psychology and helping others.

After spending years in treatment for Anorexia, Nervosa, Depression, Anxiety, she strives to share her experience with teens who are
struggling.

She works at an Intensive Outpatient Treatment program, speaks on
Many panels, and works with the nonprofit organization, Teens4TeensHelp.org that she co-founded with her parents Kathy & Jeff.

Their  journey started when they admitted their child into a Residential
Program for the treatment of her Eating Disorder. It was a bumpy road with many twists and turns but it eventually brought them to founding Teens4TeensHelp.

Their Purpose:
To empower teens who are suffering from emotional and mental health issues to choose their own recovery.
 
Their Mission:

They want to build a peer-to-peer mental health platform online - for and by teens and young adults - where those who are suffering may find encouragement, education, and the self-motivation to choose recovery.
 
Their Vision: 

To be the platform to help make mental and emotional wellbeing a strategic health education goal, embraced and supported across American school systems    K-12.
