Description

Today we are talking to Artist Rachel Brown…Rachel’s work is inspired by her love of animals and travel.
Rachel was raised on a farm in rural Central Missouri and was inspired by a long line of creative women in her life. Her mother was a watercolor artist, and began teaching Rachel the fundamentals at a very young age.

Rachel’s Grandmother was a Folk Painter and taught her color theory and equally as important, her dairy farmer’s wife work ethic.

Along with undergrad work at the University of Missouri, Rachel also received training in Contemporary Realist Portraiture at Studio Incamminati, in Philadelphia, PA and have participated in various artist residencies, including a month-long painting residency in New Delhi, India.

Rachel received her first "big break" in the art and design world when she collaborated with Studio Collective Design to create over 200 pieces of original art for The Landsby hotel in Solvang, CA in 2015.
