Tremble at His Word - Part 6

Hebrews 12:1-3

Isaiah 66:2 , tremble at His Word

Do all things without complaining and disputing

Please the Father not the flesh

Obey God immediately, when it's doesn't make sense, when it doesn't benefit you ... even when it is painful

Self denial

We all have tasks, things we start , that are left undone

Is it possible to reach the full potential without completing it ?

Jobs left undone, we all have things,

Life comes and our attention takes it away

If you start something, you need to complete it

We are a part of an incredible large project that God started and we are a part of that

He gave the responsibility to humanity to build it

There is a building of the kingdom of God, a huge responsibility

We have been adopted into

#5 Obey God to Completion

1Samuel 9:21

The story of King Saul

Before he was King, before he had the responsibility of King

Samuel speaks to bring out insight , Saul shows humility , Saul was hiding from the anointing. Yet Saul lost the Holy fear that he once had

1Samuel 15:4

Saul did 99% of the job, and Gods response was he was sorry he made him King , he didn't finish the job

For rebellion is like the sin of witch craft and stubbornness as bad as worshipping idols

Obedience is important to God

What is sin? Instructions negated

1John 3:4

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin can also have inaction when it is an affront to God

Saul did not place holy fear at the top of his completion list

Why do you focus on the little and not the complete task

Obedience is from beginning middle to the end

God uses such strong language

Proverbs 4:23

Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.

God knows the heart

The heart governs all aspects of man, all issues flow out of the heart, the seat of the will

From the fountain of your heart flow all

Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

God knows the heart and man doesn't

1Samuel 15:15 Saul is confronted by Samuel

Saul lacked Godly fear, in fact he feared man

Doing what seemed right in his eyes

A process that turns a heart away from God is slow, a slow process.

Obedience in completion, finish what God has in-trusted in us

What in meekness and humility

Hebrews points us in a direction , author and finisher of our faith

Jesus said it is finished

If we can run the race in patience

Luke 17:10

So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

Obedience to completion, when done all it is finished
