On Halloween morning 1994, a recent Western Carolina University graduate, Karen Styles disappeared from the popular Hard Times trail in the Bent Creek/ Lake Pawhatan Recreation Area in the Pisgah National Forest. A 26 year old dishwasher from a prominent family is charged.
