Everyone in a small, poor town is overseen by the ruthless mayor Cora, who's opposed by a nurse at the local mental hospital, Fay Apple. What happens when a natural miracle promises health and curative powers for the citizens? And who is this mysterious man who shows up to help out the citizens when they can't tell who's a patient at the hositpal and who's a citizen of the town?
