Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announces that effective immediately, her government is freezing its industrial carbon price at $95 per tonne of emissions. She says the move is an important step toward protecting Alberta’s economy amid the uncertainty caused by U.S. tariffs.
The premier is joined at the news conference in Edmonton by Rebecca Schulz, the minister of environment and protected areas.



British Columbia Premier David Eby provides an update on the province’s recruitment of U.S. nurses, doctors and allied health professionals. He is joined at the news conference in Victoria by provincial Health Minister Josie Osborne.
