Susan A. Masino is a neuroscientist and a professor of applied science at Trinity College. Her research is focused on promoting brain health and on the critical role of self-sustaining, climate-regulating ecosystems, particularly natural forests, to support local and global wellbeing. She is a coauthor on a recent regional report titled "Wildlands in New England: Past, Present and Future," and on the seminal paper on proforestation, i.e. growing existing forests, as an essential and cost-effective strategy for long-term ecological and human health.
