But a different type of sympathy-garnering Facebook scam making the rounds in Kern County isn't looking for your money -- at least not directly -- but rather your likes and shares.
17's Robert Price explains. - There were tense moments at Liberty High School yesterday after a threat was found written inside of a bathroom. Officers at the school say they looked into the threat but say it wasn't credible.
We asked KHSD officials what exactly was written inside the bathroom, but have not heard back as of newstime. - And another threat at a Bakersfield school - this one targeting Harris Elementary School.
According to Bakersfield Police, two people in a car made a simulated firearm with their hands and made threats to shoot.
The school was placed on lockdown.
BPD later determined there was no credible threat.
