Description

The Rev. Ed Bacon is perhaps America's most respected progressive Christian pastor, a fearless voice for the poor and oppressed who has led the charge on same-sex weddings, battled the IRS over free speech at the pulpit, and boldly arguing against the morality of America's Middle East misadventures under Bush and beyond. He retired from All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, CA in April 2016 and moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he has found a whole new level of activism working as a "freelance priest" offering key support to such progressive monoliths as the Southern Poverty Law Center and the ACLU. These are complicated times, but Ed has plenty to say about the place of Jesus, His teachings and the role of Christians in a society he firmly believes is not "post-Christian" as some in the media like to say. Tune in for an engaging and thought-provoking Kozversation.
