Listen

Description

Have you heard of this game “I can top that” it’s part of a skit on the popular comedy show “Saturday Night Live” ...

watching it on TV may be funny or hilarious but in real life if someone’s playing the “I can top that” it can be a bit annoying when you tell or share a life experience, story or something and there’s that one upper who loves the spotlight, interrupting to tell how they did it or have it better and such...

Don’t play their game. When the one upper launches there it’s all about me don’t take it personally.

Instead listen, act intrigued, think about something else, change the subject and then move on!

Someone who is confident in who they are has no need to upstage and steal the spotlight, be that person who stays cool, stays in there lane and doesn’t play the game “I can top that”!
