Dan Steele was an accomplished athlete. In fact he was so good, he excelled in both summer and winter sports, participating in track and field and on the United States bobsled team that won the bronze medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics. But after transitioning to a successful coaching career, he fell victim to a severe stroke.
