Travis Mills was on a routine mission checking for land mines in Afghanistan. Tragically, when he placed his backpack on the ground and an IED exploded. He immediately suffered traumatic critical injuries. He became a casualty of war, losing both legs and arms, becoming only one of five quadruple amputees to survive.
